Missing Person

Missing Person is the story of Eddie (Lee Cameron), a man who believes he has comes to terms with his failed marriage yet has no real understanding of the events that led him to this point. The disappearance of his wife has created a psychological trauma wherein the facts of the departure are blurry, if not imagined, and reveal a possible violent end. Through a series of confusing recollections we are left to fuse together the pieces of Eddie's story while slowly discovering that the sum of the parts may be his own grand disappearing act. The two investigating detectives Milton and Schmidt (played by George Smith & Dennis Corrie), routinely work through the incongruities as they try to find evidence that supports Eddie's claims of abandonment, but without much success. Combining the dream-like visions of an alien country side with the unsettling quiet of Eddie's home, Missing Person unravels like a poorly told lie until the story, like Eddie himself, no longer holds together.

Trevor Smith is an independent filmmaker that is tirelessly active in many aspects of the Albertan film community.
